サラサヤンマ (Oligoaeschna pryeri)

サラサヤンマ(更紗ヤンマ、Oligoaeschna pryeri)の雌が産卵を始めました。そこへ雄がやって来て、雌を木の枝へ連れ去ってしまいました。
合掌。  

A female of Sarasa yanma (Oligoaeschna pryeri) began laying eggs. A male of Sarasa yanma came over to there and has taken a female away to the branch of the tree.

Funny, we seem to have very similar species, or should I say genus,. Same general shape, habits and habitats. This one, for example, looks terribly like our European "Cordulegaster", a big black and yellow anisoptera species that also likes forests.
