ヤマサナエ (Asiagomphus melaenops) June 14, 2009

隣県での山登りの後、いつもの渓流に寄りました。ヤマサナエ(Asiagomphus melaenops)がいました。私の頭に止まりました。
合掌。

After the mountain climbing in the neighboring prefecture, I stopped at the favorite mountain stream. There was Yama sanae (Asiagomphus melaenops).

Looks very much like our Heliogomphus. This sure looks like a rare species - with you replacing the older pic displayed on the 'header'!

Good evening.
Thank you very much for your comment.
I had a look at a photograph of Heliogomphus with your blog.

Both are similar.
I feel a mysterious relationship.

A handsome dragon! Out of the eight genera of Clubtails in my area, only three are numerous. Wonderful images, Pseudothemis!
